One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD
And to meditate in His temple. - Psalms 27:4
For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one
and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall. - Eph 2:14
After these things I will return, and I will rebuild the Tabernacle of David
which has fallen, and I will rebuild its ruins,
and I will restore it. - Act 15:16
WELCOME

Welcome to House of David Ministries! We are a discipleship ministry focused on bringing American and international college students, and other young adults together in unity of prayer, worship, teaching, and discipleship. We are called the House of David because our blessed Savior, Jesus (Yeshua), came from the lineage of King David, and because the Tabernacle of David that he established was a place of worship and intimacy with the Lord. The Lord chose David to be king over His people because he was a man after God’s own heart (1Sa 13:14). Let us all become men and women after God's heart.

So, what is discipleship and how does it apply to our lives?

"Discipleship is an intensely personal ministry between two or more persons who help each other experience a growing relationship with God. Discipleship is a process of building the life of Christ in one another. The life of Christ is the presence of God within us. Discipleship is practicing that presence."

Jesus said, "Come to Me" (Mat 11:28) and “Follow Me” (Mat 4:19). The gospel of Mark records, "He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him, and that He might send them out to preach, and to have authority to cast out demons" (Mar 3:14-15). Notice that Jesus' relationship with His disciples preceded His assignment to them. Discipleship is being before doing, maturity before ministry, character before career."

Neil T. Anderson, from the book "Victory over the Darkness"

The House of David Ministries has the same two distinct purposes for it’s discipleship program: The first is to bring young adults into deeper relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus, through unity of prayer and worship, and through relational teaching and discipleship of the word of God. The second is to disciple and raise up a young generation of spiritual leaders that will be sent into the world for the harvest, making Disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus said that if we obeyed His commandments that we would abide in His Love, and then He commanded us to love each other as He has loved us so that the world will know that we are His disciples, (Joh 13:34, Joh 15:10). Out of this loving relationship with our Lord, and with our brothers and sisters in Christ we are commissioned to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, (Mat.28:19). Jesus is saying: Let me love you, and let me love others through you. By this the world will know my love so that I might reconcile all peoples to myself.
